Customer chosen for premium quality composite decking. This type of decking has grown in popularity over the past few years, manufactured from a combination of recycled plastics and hardwood waste. No nails or screws are needed
Although this customer already had a decked area in the corner of the garden it was in a poor state of repair and was not stable to walk on. There was also no way to access the garden from the side of the house as it was fenced off.
We were originally asked to quote to add drainage to the balcony area to allow water to drain away from the house. On closer inspection we discovered that the sub-standard construction of the outside area had led to the whole thing being rotten and unsafe. This had put the extension at the rear of the house in danger of collapse.
The inspiration for this project was to improve the customer's garden area in two ways. Firstly to create steps leading up the steep incline from the garage at the rear of the garden. Secondly to make a decked seating area that could be enjoyed in the warmer evenings.
Having repaired this customer's decked area in 2013 we were asked back to continue improving the area outside of the property. The customer wanted log lap cladding on the front and back of the house, the joists resupported and new decking and stepped areas fitted.
The front of the customer's property was in a poor state of repair and the ground was uneven concrete. There were weeds growing through the concrete and the steps at the front of the house were unstable and dangerous.
The customer wanted their garden to be practical, useful and attractive. The project had been designed by customer and we worked closely with them to fulfill their plans.
This customer had an uneven patio which sagged quite noticeably in the centre. They wanted this rectified and for the patio to be relaid and restored to its former glory.
The customer wanted to move an existing shed away from the back of the house and to extend the patio area to incorporate a seating area that they could enjoy during the summer months. They also wanted to improve the look of the front of the property with a theme running from front to back.
